How to Sell on RC Reloaded

Sign up for a free RC Reloaded account. You'll need to provide your name, email, and create a password. After signing up, complete a quick onboarding process to accept our terms, set your display name, and provide basic profile information including your address (required for shipping).

Select how you want to sell:

• For Sale — Set a fixed price for immediate purchase. Enable "Accepts Offers" to allow buyers to negotiate.
• Auction — Let buyers bid competitively. Optionally set a reserve price (minimum you'll accept) and/or a Buy It Now price for instant purchase.

Quality photos are essential for selling:

• • Use natural lighting and clean backgrounds
• • Show the item from multiple angles
• • Include close-ups of any damage, wear, or defects
• • The first photo becomes your main listing image — make it count
• • Free accounts: up to 5 photos  |  Premium/Pro: up to 15 photos
• • Add the Extra Image Pack ($0.99) to unlock 15 photos (Free) or 25 photos (Premium/Pro)

Be honest and thorough about your item:

• • Include brand, model, and scale
• • Describe condition accurately: New, Like New, Good, Fair, or For Parts
• • Specify functionality: Fully Functional, Untested, Needs Repair, or For Parts Only
• • List what's included — battery, charger, box, controller, transmitter, etc.
• • Clearly state any defects, damage, or known issues
• • For vintage/high-end items, indicate authenticity: Authentic, Replica, Aftermarket, or Unknown
• • Share key specs: power type, scale, frequency, RTR/roller status

Price competitively to attract buyers:

• • Research similar items currently listed on RC Reloaded
• • Factor in condition, rarity, and market demand
• • Account for shipping costs in your pricing strategy
• • Remember the Final Value Fee (commission) that applies on sale:

For Auctions:

• • Starting Bid — The opening bid amount
• • Reserve Price (optional) — Minimum price you'll accept (hidden from buyers)
• • Buy It Now (optional) — Fixed price that ends the auction immediately

💡 Lower starting bids attract more bidders. Reserve prices protect your minimum value without discouraging interest.

Listings are free up to your monthly limit. Beyond that, additional listings are $0.30 each.

• • Bold Title — $2.99 · Premium/Pro only · Makes your title stand out in search results

• • Extra Categories — $0.10 each beyond the first free one
• • Extra Tags — $0.10 each beyond the 5 free tags

Step 1: Choose Your Shipping Option for the Listing

• • Buyer Pays Calculated Rates — Real-time rates from USPS, UPS, and FedEx via Shippo. Buyer selects carrier and service at checkout. Requires package dimensions.
• • Flat Rate — You set a fixed shipping cost applied to all buyers.
• • Free Shipping — You cover all shipping costs. Great for attracting buyers!

Step 2: Enter Package Dimensions (Required for Calculated Shipping)

• • Package weight in pounds (e.g., 2.5 lbs)
• • Dimensions in inches: length × width × height (e.g., 12 × 8 × 6)
• • Used to calculate accurate real-time rates for buyers at checkout

After a Sale — Generating Your Label

• • Shippo Integration: Generate prepaid labels directly from your dashboard with discounted carrier rates. Tracking is automatically shared with the buyer.
• • Self-Ship: Ship via your own carrier and manually enter the tracking number in your dashboard. The system notifies the buyer automatically.

💡 Free accounts pay a $0.99 platform service fee for Shippo labels. Premium and Pro members ship at cost with no platform fees.

Drafts — Save Incomplete Listings

• • Save progress on an incomplete listing to finish later
• • Drafts preserve everything: images, text, specs, pricing, and shipping settings
• • Auto-save kicks in every 30 seconds once a title and photo are present
• • Drafts are deleted once you publish the listing

Your reputation score (0–100) is calculated from:

• • Sales Volume — Total completed sales
• • Completion Rate — Percentage of successful transactions
• • Reviews & Ratings — Customer feedback
• • Response Time — How quickly you respond to messages
• • Dispute History — Fewer disputes = higher score
